Purchased from Grove last Christmas for $459. **After checking my records, I realized I only payed $449 for the basic unit, not $459 as previously stated. So I've adjusted my asking price accordingly: I have recently passed my amateur radio Tech Licence exam and I will need to sell my R1 (which I dearly love) in order to buy a dual band tranceiver. Can't understand it, my wife just won't let me tie up more than a thousand dollars in radio equipment :-). The R1 is virtually new. Purchased from Grove last Christmas for $449. It is still under manufacturers warrantee and includes a spare registration card to register the new owner. Internal batteries have had about 6 charge cycles on them. The unit is in perfect condition with the original box and includes the following accessories: Standard: Handstrap Antenna (FA-4B) Wall charger Belt clip Extras included: BP-90 battery pack w/ 6 AA replaceable Ni-Cads (retail $19 + bat cost), Protective Leather case fitted to R1 with BP-90 attached (retail $19). I won't waste time listing the R1's extensive array features, but anyone with questions is welcome to contact me. I'm sure everyone knows the R1 receives cellular with no modification needed. TERMS: Price for the whole package: $ 435 + shipping, COD-Cash, I will pay shipping insurance. Thanks, and sorry for the original price error... It would be nice to have more than 2mhz of the band to transmit with in this case. Can the HTX-100 be modified to do this? It was a top of the line unit in its day - 30-40 watt two meter unit built very well. It was ment to compete in the 70's with Motorola better mobile units. If anyone has any info on the above please let me know. Also I used to be on a mailing list which I believe was land-mobile. This list was for generally used by commercial service personel. I have since had my name taken off the list and also deleted how to get on the list. If anyone knows how to get put on the server for this list please forward that info to me.
